Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty Announces a PST Exemption for Bicycles under $1000.00

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty has just recently announced, that as of December 1, 2007, bicycles valued at $1000.00 or less will receive a Provincial Sales Tax exemption. This also includes all safety accessories such as helmets, bells, locks, and lights.

This strong movement by the Premier is to encourage Citizens in the province of Ontario to embrace cycling as more than a recreational activity, but more of method of transportation, and to cut down on the amount of motorists that clog up major roads and highways.

Below are the items that are included under the Bill:

Bicycles $1000.00 or less
Helmets
Bells
Lights / reflectors
Mirrors

COFFEE TALK
RIDE

New for this year we would like to introduce our "Coffee Talk" rides, a ride geared towards women that would like to get involved in road cycling, or who are just trying to sharpen up their skills. Contact Petrina at our Oakville shop for details. (905)815-2100

Cofee talk rides take place on the following days:

Monday Evenings at 7pm

Tuesday Mornings at 9:30am

Thursday Evening at 7:00pm

All rides start in front of our Oakville location.
