The Sidi Ergo 2 was regarded as the most worn shoe in the Pro peloton. With it's light weight construction, exceptional fit, and Euro styling, it couldn't get any better.
Guess what? it does. Intorducing the 2012 Sidi Ergo 3 Lite. Without taking away any of the features from the Ergo 2, Sidi has managed to shave an additional 38 grams. This reduction in weight is thanks to a revised carbon sole that features a ventilation system can be opened or closed depending on the temperature and your preferences. This can be done on the bike if necessary. The airflow moves underneath and through the insole to cool your feet in the summer temperatures.

The Ergo 3 has the same three component structure as previous Ergo 2 shoes Ratcheting Buckle, Techno II Buckle, and Velcro Strap. The Ratcheting Buckle is mated to Sidi's Soft Instep Closure System strap that provides excellent support across the top of the foot to dampen the forces of upward pedaling. The buckle on the outside of the foot provides a maximum of two clicks per engagement along with single-click release, meaning that you can precisely tension the pressure of the strap, just before "putting the hammer down". The Techno II Buckle allows you to micro-adjust strap pressure, so the mid fit of the shoe won't be too loose or too tight. No other closure system is so precise to provide a custom like fit right out of the box. The Velcro strap on the toe is reinforced with integrated locking teeth to ensure consistancy of the velcro material

Sidi adds their improved Heel Security System (HSS) to keep your foot planted in the shoe. It's an adjustable, rigid composite band that holds shoe heel cup of the shoe more securely to keep the Achilles anchored. So no matter how much power is being transmitted into the pedals, your heel will stay in place inside the shoe. Features as such allow for the pressure points of the shoe to be dispurssed evenly, and allow for upmost comfort.
