The FSA Plasma handlebar mates a carbon stem to a wing-shaped carbon handlebar and in the process creates a one-piece setup that does away with the stem/bar interface. By doing this FSA saves weight by eliminating the stem's faceplate and mounting hardware. The carbon stem is then bonded to an alloy fork clamp for added strength. The tops of the handlebar arcs back slightly from the stem to match the natural bend of the rider’s wrists. Because the top of the bar is wing-shaped a separate computer mount is sold separately and attaches under the stem. The Plasma also available in a compact bend that uses a 125-millimeter drop and 80-millimeter reach along with reinforced and textured lever mounting areas. FSA finishes off the Plasma with internal cable routing. |

The new monocoque RAM handlebar in full Carbon fibre follows the distinguished shape of RAM. The bent of the drops is not just round, but follows a variable radius (Variable Radius Concept - VRC) providing a better and more comfortable position on the bike and an easier and safer reach on the brake levers. The layers of T700 and High Modulus Carbon fibre are overlapped and oriented according to the greatest points of stress. The top section which follows the shape of RAM, has been developed to offer more comfort and to create apposite zones for the position of the hands: NEST ZONE is an area shaped to “nest” the palm of the hand inthe high position on the brake levers. THUMB ZONE is an area in the central part near the stem, created to support the thumb more comfortably in a resting position. The end section of the drop has been extended to obtain a better and more secure hold on the low grip, often not considered by many manufacturers. The Variable Radius Concept round drops reduce to 77mm the distance of the brake levers and at the same time reduce also the depth and height of the handlebar. The cables run inside the handlebar. |

It weighs a mere 170g (SS drops, 42cm o-o), but it's stiff enough to grunt over the steepest grades and smooth enough for all-day comfort, thanks to Zipp's VCLC vibration-damping technology included in all our bars. Features like dual cable routing grooves and a gradual taper from 31.8mm at the clamp to 24.2mm at the bends contribute to the SL's classic looks. Our goal was to design the lightest drop bar available while still passing EFBe Laboratory's top performance racing standard. We achieved it with the SL. |

Sprinters love it. World championships medalist Katie Compton rode it throughout the 2008-9 cyclocross season. ITU triathletes use it with aero extensions like the VukaClip. The SLC2 satisfies even the most demanding riders with a massively stiff handlebar that's clip-on compatible and weighs just 190g (SS drops, 42cm o-o). To get there, Zipp started out by keeping more than 60% of the bar width at the same 31.8mm diameter as the clamp area. Then we strategically redesigned the carbon laminate structure, adding strength around the clamp to handle clip-on extensions and stiffness to handle sprinting loads. Despite its stout characteristics, the SLC2 cuts no corners in terms of ride quality due to Zipp's vibration absorbing VCLC technology. The only Zipp drop bar designed for clip-on extensions, the SLC2 is the perfect complement to the VukaClip with your choice of VukaExtensions. |
