The BMC Granfondo GF01 Disc Ultegra Bike. Arguably the best bike for the Endurance cycling enthusiast.

Equipped with Shimano Ultegra 6800 11 speed mechanical shifting, provides smooth, crisp and reliable shifiting of the drivetrain, along with 50-34T chain rings, and an 11-32T rear cassette, gives a range of gears at your disposal that you can climb walls with.
What goes up, must come down. The ST-R685 hydraulic levers allow for a generous amount of braking modulation, while providing the ergonomics are almost identical to the standard mechanical-shifting road lever, even with a hydraulic reservoir built inside, the shifters are still compact and comfy with easy, adjustable reach to the levers, for fast-action shifts, and confidence while braking.

To keep things turning, the GF01 is equipped with DT Swiss X-1900 Splines. The tubeless-ready hoops come with Centerlock mounting for the Shimano rotors. These are aluminum-rimmed wheels that first saw duty with 29er mountain bikes, so they're more than durable enough for the road. They're finished with Continental Grand Prix 4 Season 700 x 28's for comfort and low rolling resistance.

The Centerlock rotor mounts hold SM-RT99-SS, aka Ice Tech, 140mm rotors. These rotors use multiple metals and cooling fins to make sure the rotors don't overheat the hydraulic fluid, and are aided in this with the finned pads on the BR-785 hydraulic calipers.

Last but not least is what really separates the BMC GF01 from other endurnace focused bikes is the frameset. The Granfondo was created for cobbled classics, demanding races in Northern Europe, where the road conditions are constantly changing, cobbles, secondary roads, and cattle pathways are just a sample size of what this bike was designed to tackle. In order to perfom on such roads, a stable race bike is advantageous. Not only does the longer wheelbase smooth things out, but the greater bottom bracket drop makes the bike more stable. And the taller head tube, and shorter, sloping top tube put you in a better, more comfy position for riding the hoods and drops into the wind. The advantage to riders never planning on riding cobblestones is simple: this is a bike designed for comfort over long miles, but it's stiff enough and light enough for racing and spending all day in the mountains.

If versatility is what you are after, look no further than the BMC GranFondo.
