Who is eligible to use Affirm?
Canadian residents who are the legal age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside, with a valid debit/credit card and government-issued ID.
What purchase amounts qualify for Affirm?
Transactions between $200–$999.99 — 3 months 0% APR, 6 and 12 months interest-bearing
Transactions $1,000+ — 12 months 0% APR, 18 and 24 months interest-bearing
Will I pay interest?
Some plans are 0% APR, others are interest-bearing. You’ll always see full payment details before confirming.
What credit check is involved?
Soft check — to show available plans
Hard check — only when accepting certain terms
Your score won’t be affected by checking eligibility.
Can I pay off my loan early?
Yes — there are no penalties or hidden fees for early repayment.
What happens if I return an item?
Once we process your return, Affirm will update your loan. If you’ve already made payments, you’ll be refunded. Please note that any returns will be subject to a 6.5% restocking fee + any expenses required to return the item purchased.
Why was I not approved?
Approval is based on multiple factors including credit history, order value, and transaction risk. Not all applications will be approved.
Can I use Affirm in-store?
Yes. If you decide to exercise Affirm financing in-store, one of our team members can guide you through the process.

Your rate will be 0–31.99% APR (where available and subject to provincial regulatory limitations). APR offered is based on creditworthiness and subject to an eligibility check. Not all customers will be eligible for 0% APR. Payment options depend on your purchase amount, may vary by merchant, and may not be available in all provinces/territories. Actual payment option terms will be shown at checkout.
A down payment (or a payment due today) may be required. Affirm accepts debit cards and PAD as forms of repayment on payment options. Select payment options may be eligible for repayment in the form of credit cards. Please review the terms and conditions of your credit card when using it as a form of repayment.
