Front Wheel:
At 58mm deep, the 404 Firecrest Tubeless is ideal for road races, time trial and triathlon, gran fondos, and riding over varied terrain. The wheelset’s 23mm internal width is perfect for running wider tubeless tires at reduced air pressure. That is a vital component of Total System Efficiency™, or TSE™, an approach to speed on ever-changing roads and riding conditions. Specifically, TSE™ focuses on overcoming specific barriers to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. Zipp’s ABLC™ Sawtooth™ Technology uses an intricate dimpling pattern to improve aero efficiency. Zipp’s use of hookless (straight side) rims in the 404 Firecrest is integral to Making You Faster. With hookless, the transition between the tire and the rim is more seamless and aero. Zipp’s hookless rims have more efficient resin distribution, which means lighter, stronger wheels.
Rear wheel:
At 80mm deep, its rim is designed to make you faster in every way. Zipp’s Total System Efficiency design approach, or TSE, infuses the 808 Firecrest with new features, including a huge drop in weight from its previous iteration, well more than 280 grams.
Also, the wheel is designed with a hookless and tubeless rim profile and 23mm internal width. That’s ideal for running wider tires at lower pressure for reduced rolling resistance and greater cornering grip. In fact, TSE attacks the four primary barriers to speed: Wind Resistance, Gravity, Rolling Resistance, and Vibration Losses. Zipp’s legendary Firecrest rim shape provides high aero efficiency and crosswind stability. Also, Zipp’s ABLC Technology uses a complex dimpling pattern to improve aero efficiency.
What’s more, while this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option to run Tubeless or tubeless ready tires with tubes. The 808 Firecrest with TSE builds on this wheel’s legacy as a go-to wheel fastest or optimized for TT, tri and crit racing. This wheelset is fastest with a 28mm tire. Disc brakes also offer more reliable speed modulation and braking power in all weather conditions. What’s more, in triathlon, running wider tubeless tires at lower pressure makes you faster while also smoothing out the ride so your legs are fresher for the all-important run.

How does shipping work?
Canada Post (Priority or Express): delivery in 7–14 business days, with tracking in your shipping confirmation.
UPS: usually 2–7 business days (customs can stretch it to 15), fully tracked.
Cost depends on the size and weight of the package.
Is shipping free?
Most orders over $150 in Canada ship free.
Bikes, frames, wheelsets, indoor trainers and other bulky items don't. One of our team will contact you with shipping options for those.
A few items, like Favero Assioma pedals and Nimbl × Nike shoes, always have a shipping charge.
When will my order ship?
Please allow 1–2 business days to pack and ship most orders. Bikes, wheels and trainers can take 5–7 business days to prepare. Busy periods can add a little time.
Can I return it?
You have 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days, purchases are final sale. Special orders may have a restocking fee.

How do I send a return?

Return shipping is on you, and original shipping isn't refunded. For exchanges, shipping the new item is taken off your refund. For anything over $75, use tracked shipping or insurance.
Once we've received and checked your return, we'll email you. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, so allow up to 5 business days for them to show.
If you declined shipping protection, Racer Sportif isn't liable for packages lost, damaged or stolen after they leave the store.
